Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about how Agent Payment Guard works. Can't find yours? Ask support.
- What is Agent Payment Guard?
- A control layer between AI agents (or people) and money movement. An AI assistant can draft a payout in plain language; your policies, risk checks, and human approvals decide if and how it executes. The backend - not the AI - moves the money.
- Can the AI move money on its own?
- No. By design the AI can only draft a payment. It can never approve, execute, bypass a policy, or release funds. Approval is a human action; execution runs through a backend guard. This is enforced server-side, not left to the AI.
- How does a payment get approved?
- Each payout becomes a payment intent that passes policy evaluation → risk assessment → approval → a guarded execution → an audit record. Sensitive payments require a human approver, and the person who created a payment cannot approve their own (separation of duties).
- Is it handling real money yet?
- Not for general use. APG runs on test networks today; real-money pilots are gated on documented controls. We are deliberately honest about maturity rather than over-claiming.
- Which payment providers are supported?
- The platform uses a provider-adapter model. Connected today: Coinbase (USDC, testnet), with Wise and Revolut adapters in progress. The architecture is built to add more payout rails (e.g. Stripe payouts, PayPal Payouts, Payoneer, Airwallex, Circle, bank ACH/SEPA) as adapters behind the same backend guards.
- Can I request a payment provider you don't support yet?
- Yes - tell us which provider or rail you need and we'll prioritize it. Use the support page to request one. (Note: Apple Pay and Google Pay are card-collection methods that ride on a processor like Stripe - relevant to billing, not to outbound payouts.)
- Will the AI answer any banking question / replace a bank worker?
- No. The assistant is scoped to payment operations (drafting payouts, checking status, explaining policies). It does not give financial, legal, or tax advice, and it escalates anything outside its scope to a human. For other questions, contact support.
- How is my data handled?
- Data is isolated per organization, sensitive values (secrets, bank details, full wallet addresses, raw provider payloads) are never written to logs, and there is a full audit trail of decisions. See our privacy page.
